About the Project
This former residence built in the Victorian era by a wealthy local industrialist is now being converted into luxury apartments together with a swimming pool, sauna and an underground car park. The castle was once a boys school and latterly a zoo! It occupies a position with commanding views of the the local countryside and the town of Matlock. A heritage statement was required to assess the impacts on the building and local listed buildings.
