About the Project
Avalon Heritage were commissioned by the owners of Quarry Bungalow to undertake a Building Recording prior to the demolition of the existing dwelling followed by the erection of a replacement dwelling with vehicular
access. Quarry Bungalow is considered to be of heritage interest and as a result the STCC Planning Archaeologist (STCC PA) advised that a programme of enhanced level 2 Building Recording be undertaken prior to demolition commencing.
The origins of Quarry Bungalow were as an early squatters cottage dating back to the 18th century, and has continued as a dwelling to the present time.
